IRON RICH MEDICINAL RICE

RBC BOOSTER/BLOOD PURIFIER

A rare and nearly extinct variety of rice grain, it is now being preserved by a few passionate organic farmers from Kerala. Ayurveda uses this rice variety to correct the imbalance of ‘tridosha' (namely vata, pita & kapha) and has properties potent enough to cure several ailments including liver, kidney & nerve disorders and is also known to combat cancer. This red rice variety improves blood circulation and is recently being recommended by doctors to boost the immunity system against Covid – 19.

  • Anti-Oxidant Rich (Selenium & Polyphenol)
  • Good source of Iron
  • Mitigates the risk of Anaemia & Diabetes
  • Recommended for lactating mothers & pregnant women
  • Helps Weight Loss
  • Strengthens Immunity against Covid-19

Meal Ideas:

From Khichdi to Pulao to desserts, Rakthashali can be used to make every day delicacies and is a healthy, holistic substitute to other rice varieties. This medicinal rice goes well with all side dishes and is perfect  if you’re looking for a light, nutritious meal.

Cooking Tips:

Since Rakthashali rice is full bran and raw, it takes longer to cook. One wash is enough as the rice is naturally farmed. Too much washing robs the rice of its bran. Soak the rice for a couple of hours and cook in the same water (1:3) in a pressure cooker or the traditional way in an open vessel with lid.

We started eating this rice and it tastes very nice, we need to use a lot of water, 1:6 maybe. Love the rice, and no sugar spikes :)

Good quality rice. Very tasty and authentic. Must try the different varieties. Coconut sugar was also good but very expensive.
