A natural energizer for pregnant women and babies over six months, the rice can beboiled or mixed with milk or broth for best results. This variety of rice is so potent in essential nutrients that even a simple rice gruel made of it can do wonders to your body, internally and externally. For those who are looking for a complete wellness and healing meal, Njavara is a perfect choice. Can be used instead of white rice for meals and salads.
Since Njavara rice is full bran and raw, it takes longer to cook. One wash is enough as the rice is naturally farmed. Too much washing robs the rice of its bran. Soak the rice for a couple of hours and cook in the same water (1:3) in a pressure cooker or the traditional way in an open vessel with lid.
